From the Personal Collection of Don "Doc" Stullken

We are pleased to offer a selection of vintage 1978 Shuttle technical illustrations from the collection of NASA veteran Don "Doc" Stullken.  All schematics shown are fold-outs (fold lines not visible in scans).  

 

Stullken was NASA's Chief of Recovery Operations Branch from Mercury through Skylab, and was the first person the astronauts saw after stepping out of the recovery helicopter.  During Shuttle, Stullken played a critical role in training Shuttle engineers and crew, and served as Chief of the Training Integration Branch.
