This “Orbital Flight” (Орбитальный Полет) procedures manual was flown onboard Soyuz TMA-02M during Expedition 28/29. It was part of the “Onboard Documentation” (Бортовой Документации) for the Soyuz spacecraft—a set of color-coded manuals covering all operational procedures taking place during the various phases of flight. It comes directly from the private collection of Commander Sergei Volkov.
This manual spent 167 full days in space, launching into orbit from Baikonur Cosmodrome on 7 June 2011 and returning to the frozen steppes of Kazakhstan on 22 November 2011. A signed certification of flown status was added to the reverse of the front cover after the mission by Volkov.
This manual contains detailed instructions for all aspects of orbital flight. It was used extensively during the two day solo flight to the ISS, from the time the crew entered orbit through rendezvous and docking. Most pages bear Volkov’s in-flight annotations and calculations, all added while on orbit. The book is complete, save for two leaves (119-120 and 127-128) which were removed by Volkov owing to the presence of confidential information.
Accompanied by two signed COAs from Sergei Volkov, as well as numerous photos of his signing and certification of the manual. Five checklist pages have also been individually flight-certified by Volkov.
Comes with Orbital Artifacts COA and 100% guarantee of authenticity, as well as the Volkov COAs described above.
