Engineer's working copy of an early Shuttle Flight Procedures Handbook - Entry, dated January 23, 1984.   This manual convers all aspects of Shuttle re-entry, covering the various deorbit burns and entry procedures.  Contains scores of tables, charts, technical illustrations, and copies of various deorbit and entry cue card, along with text explaining the full re-entry procedures.  

In engineer's original binder, with title and ownership information on the cover, and the title written on the spine in ink pen.  An exceptional example of an early "working" shuttle manual from an engineer in the program.

This example comes from the collection of William Mark Scarbrough.  Scarbrough spent 28 year career in aerospace, working with NASA, Rockwell, Lockheed Martin, Martin Marietta, Skunk Works, United Space Alliance, and Boeing. In 1989, he received the Silver Snoopy Award, the Astronauts Personal Achievement Award for his professionalism and dedication which greatly enhanced flight safety and mission success. He also received the First Shuttle Achievement Award in appreciation for his contribution to success of the first manned orbital flight of the Space Shuttle. In addition to aerospace work, he was involved with experimental aircraft and defense projects.


Condition is excellent good for age.  All interior pages bright and clean.
